This Friday, March 7th, marks the beginning of St. Ferdinand’s Annual Fish Fry. Come out to support the school and enjoy a good meal. After savoring some delicious fish, stop by the Troop 51 table to pick up some “World’s Finest Chocolate” bars for dessert. All profits go directly to the scouts to help with uniforms and camping expenses.

On March 28th, Fish Fry Troop 51 will be serving food in uniform as our duty to God and our school. You may see us serving food on other weeks, but March 28th is our designated Friday to run the service show.

During Memorial Day Weekend, the troop will head to Owasippe to help set up summer camp. Owasippe hosts a large summer camp where troops gather from all over to camp for a week in tents. To ensure a smooth summer, there is much preparation to be done. In the past, our troop has helped with repainting fire hydrants, clearing trails of brush and fallen trees, and even assisted in re-shingling a roof. These service outings exemplify Scouts volunteering and are also crucial for teaching them valuable life skills they will need in the future.

Don’t forget to come back and check out what Troop 51 is up to next, as we have exciting activities planned throughout the year that will help your children learn valuable skills, make lasting friendships, and create unforgettable memories. If your children want to get involved, we meet every Monday at St. Ferdinand School, in the Jason Torba Center (JTC), where we foster a spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and community service. We encourage parents to engage with us and support our mission, so feel free to join in on the fun!
